AI agents for Gmail

AI agents that work your Gmail or Google Workspace inbox continuously: triage every message, draft routine replies, and pull documents out of attachments, with a person approving before anything sends.

For a lot of small teams the shared inbox is where work goes to wait. Requests, invoices, receipts, and approvals pile up in Gmail, nobody owns the queue, and mornings start behind. An agent works that inbox continuously so your team starts at a triaged inbox, not a full one.

We connect to Gmail through the Google Workspace API and fit an agent into the inbox you already use. Nothing new to learn, and nothing sends without the controls you set.

How we connect

Into Gmail, the right way

We connect through the Gmail API using OAuth 2.0, and we scope access to the job. Triage and routing often need only metadata (headers and labels, not message bodies), which keeps the footprint small; drafting and sending use the narrower send and modify scopes. Draft and label handling are first-class, so the agent can prepare a reply that waits in the drafts folder for a one-click send.

Gmail's read scopes are restricted, so a production inbox agent goes through Google's app verification and an annual security assessment. We handle that, and we design around it by using the narrowest scope each workflow allows. Everything runs under access your Workspace admin grants and can revoke.

Doesn't Gmail already do this?

Where the native features stop

Google bundles Gemini into Workspace now, with help-me-write, smart replies, and thread summaries, and it makes an individual faster at their own inbox. What it does not do is own a shared queue end to end: classify by your rules, draft against your policies, extract the attachment into your accounting system, and route what needs a person, all logged. That continuous, cross-system workflow with human approval is what we build.

Questions about Gmail

Will the agent send email as us without asking?

Not by default. Everything starts in draft mode, waiting for a one-click send. A category earns auto-send only after your team's own approvals show the drafts are consistently right.

Does it read all our email?

Only what the workflow needs. Triage often runs on metadata alone (headers and labels, not bodies), and we scope access to the narrowest level that does the job.

Is this secure enough for customer data?

Gmail's restricted scopes require Google verification and an annual security assessment, which a production build goes through, and processing runs through API accounts under no-training terms. Access sits with your admin and is revocable.

Does it work with Google Workspace, not just personal Gmail?

Yes, Workspace is the normal case. We connect at the domain level with admin consent so the agent can work a shared inbox properly.
